Co-founder of Hanna and Hutchinson, Ciaran was previously the Civil Engineering Director of BDP Belfast. He is a chartered engineer and a qualified CEEQUAL Assessor, bringing this environmental expertise to projects whenever possible. Ciaran has worked on a wide spectrum of construction projects ranging from Housing, Water and Wastewater, Infrastructure, Education, Retail, Public Realm, Leisure and Transport. Within these sectors, projects Ciaran has been involved with include Derry City Centre Public Realm, Bangor Grammar School, and Solas Bhride Retreat Centre and Hermitages-which has been awarded Sustainable Initiative of the Year 2014 and has been nominated for several other awards and accolades.

John is the co-founder of Hanna and Hutchinson, previously the Structural Engineering Director of BDP Belfast. A Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer, John has over 25 years experience in structural design of reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry, and timber. This work includes a range of challenging and innovative projects across many sectors, including Infrastructure, Healthcare, Leisure, Industry, along with significant experience in bridge assessment. John has delivered a range of award winning projects including the Victoria Square regeneration project in Belfast city centre, which has received over 10 awards and accolades including RIAI Irish Architecture Awards (2009) Best Retail Development.

Ross is Associate Director at H+H. He is a Chartered Member with the Institution of Structural Engineers and Associate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
Ross has over 10 years’ experience in engineering and management – working within contracting, research and consultancy. Areas of expertise include development of existing structures, temporary works, complex connections and fire engineering. He has delivered a number of challenging projects across a number of sectors including The Grand Central Hotel, which received the IStructE NI Large Project of the Year in 2019.
In addition to his role at H+H, Ross is also a Guest Lecturer at The Queen’s University of Belfast and enjoys working to help the next generation of engineering students. Further to his PhD research he also continues to publish research, in collaboration with academics across the UK, New Zealand and Malaysia.
