    Co-founder of Hanna and Hutchinson, Ciaran was previously the Civil Engineering Director of BDP Belfast. He is a chartered engineer and a qualified CEEQUAL Assessor, bringing this environmental expertise to projects whenever possible. Ciaran has worked on a wide spectrum of construction projects ranging from Housing, Water and Wastewater, Infrastructure, Education, Retail, Public Realm, Leisure and Transport. Within these sectors, projects Ciaran has been involved with include Derry City Centre Public Realm, Bangor Grammar School, and Solas Bhride Retreat Centre and Hermitages-which has been awarded Sustainable Initiative of the Year 2014 and has been nominated for several other awards and accolades.

    John is the co-founder of Hanna and Hutchinson, previously the Structural Engineering Director of BDP Belfast. A Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer, John has over 25 years experience in structural design of reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry, and timber. This work includes a range of challenging and innovative projects across many sectors, including Infrastructure, Healthcare, Leisure, Industry, along with significant experience in bridge assessment. John has delivered a range of award winning projects including the Victoria Square regeneration project in Belfast city centre, which has received over 10 awards and accolades including RIAI Irish Architecture Awards (2009) Best Retail Development.

    Ross has just completed his PhD through QUB developing a performance based design procedure for single storey buildings in fire. During the course of his research he was actively involved in the EU COST TU0904 Action on Integrated Fire Engineering and Response. Ross is an active member of the Steel in Fire Forum and has presented research at this and several other international conferences. He has a range of academic publications and continues to develop research within fire engineering through collaborations with industry and academia. Furthermore, in March 2014 Ross was presented with the prestigious Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Young Researcher of the Year award.
